Our Nursing department provides protection, promotion, and optimization of health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocacy in the care of individuals, families, communities, and populations.

BHPL Professional nurses consist of; register nurses, practical nurses, midwives and nurses aid, who administer quality nursing care to all patients in the hospital, emergency room, ICU and specialist clinic. Presenting concise nursing procedure for better recover of the patients our nurses provide emotional support for our patient and their love ones we care.

  • Midwifery

    ‘The main duties of a midwife involve looking after women during pregnancy and labour and offering postnatal care up to a certain point after birth. Midwives play an extremely important role in preparing women for delivery as well as helping to maintain their health during pregnancy.’

  • Advice and management for ill health and minor injuries, occurring at home and at work.
  • Blood work previously ordered by a physician
  • Immunization
  • Allergy injections
  • TB testing
  • Completion of immunization forms required for academic programs, including antibody titers
  • Dressing changes following surgery or injury as directed by a physician
  • Travel counseling and immunization (counseling by appointment only)
  • Prescription arrangements for any type of health complaint, including repeated prescriptions.

  • I/V Medication

  • Oral Medication
  • Grooming of patient
  • Preparation of patient for surgery
  • Feeding of patient
  • Reporting condition of patients to doctor
  • Carrying out doctor’s orders
  • Wound care, Dressings, Suture Removal and Ear Irrigations.
  • Travelling advice and vaccinations.
  • Contraceptive and sexual health advice.
  • Laboratory tests (blood, urine, sputum, wounds swabs etc).
  • Wellness check-ups (blood pressure, pulse, height, weight etc.)
